JOHN CAMPANELLI - The second phase of the “modernization project” at FirstEnergy Stadium is underway. When the Browns kick off in the fall, fans will see new graphics around the stadium and upgrades to the concession stands and premium seating areas. A second round of renovations and tech upgrades cannot change the fact that no matter how shiny the stadium on the lakefront looks, it may as well be a boarded-up building, with its copper stripped, roof leaking and walls covered in graffiti.
